Farsæll is a good looking young gelding. We bought him in Southiceland and he arrived in Húsavík in January 2008. He took a big step forward in growing and developed really well.
Farsæll went through his basic education, which he took very well. He is always trying to please his trainer and shows a talent for dressage. He is very polite in handling and learns fast. Farsæll loves to go for outside rides and is neither afraid of big cars nor of suddenly appearing birds.
In June 2012 we castrated him to allow him a normal life with our other horses in the herd. Farsæll took big steps forward in his education and has started to tölt up to middlespeed. He went to the sheeproundup in autumn 2013 and proofed to be a trustworthy, reliable, hardworking comrade in the highlands. I think his most important job is being a teacher and friend to Hjördís, Ingólfur's daughter. He loves her and is much more polite with her than us, taking good care of her.
During late spring 2015 Farsæll moved to a new owner, who uses him a lot when training the young horses. He's doing a good job there and loves all the attention.
