Íbishóll

Today we decided to change our daily routine and took a drive to Skagafjörður, where we visited Magnús Bragi Magnússon and Elisabeth Jansen at Íbishóll.

After a nice chat about different breedinglines, old and new stallions and a lot more, Magnús showed us their herd or better to say herds as they have their horses split up in a few groups according to age, gender and how much they are supposed to eat.

There's a special stallionfence with a colourful group of young stallions belonging to them or friends. The yearlings are in a seperate fence, just like the 2 and 3 year olds, the grown ups and last but not least the foalmares.

Last stop was the stable, where we had a look at Snillingur, who is Fönix father.

Ingólfur and Magnús were busy discussing the horses while I used the chance to take a lot of pics without being interrupted.
